Dear Parents/Guardians,

    
     Happy New Year to all of our Pitre families! I hope our students were able to enjoy the holiday break and are ready to return to school. We have missed them!
     Please be sure to note that report cards will be sent home Thursday. Please take the time to review your child‘s report card carefully. Are there any messages or comments from the teacher? Teachers often request to have a parent contact them to discuss the student‘s progress. We will not have another Parent Conference Night until the beginning of April. Please do not wait until then to call the teacher if you have any concerns.
     LEAP tutoring will begin this Saturday. We are looking forward to this. We changed the schedule last year to Saturday. Our students came rested and prepared to work. It was a very positive experience and our scores improved twice as much as they had the prior year.
     Please continue to send your children faithfully everyday to school. Attendance did dip in the month of December but we had been experiencing remarkable improvement in the prior months. Children who attend regularly are more successful in school!
